TabTrade Overview - What to Know Before You Sign Up
TabTrade — What It Is
TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background matters. It means the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. Still more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres institutional desks use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: FX, indices, gold, silver, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform that is a few months old, the breadth is not narrow.
Platforms
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Full charting, EAs, huge user base. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Many people prefer it after comparing.
FIX API is there for automated strategies but is only on the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is apparently in the works. That would make the platform set when it lands.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Good for people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can sit under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not for most retail traders. Skip it unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
The speed is where TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform run a much wider range.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, it matters less. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That says what kind of broker this is.
Put together that execution speed with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering holds up. Few brokers at this price point offer execution like this.
Regulation
This is the detail that matters. The broker is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
That said. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into your decision.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.
